Hald Ege Church is located in the southern district of Viborg, Hald Ege. The benches, pulpit, altar and baptismal font, like the floorboards, are made of grey-green pressure-treated pine, and the legs of the benches are made of galvanised iron. The altar is a simple piece of carpentry, decorated only with a slender cross and two altar candlesticks made of iron and silver.
The baptismal font at Hald Ege Church is a heavy plank wedged into a hole in the floor. The silver dish is shaped like part of a spherical shell, and the baptismal jug is designed like a bucket with a handle.
The pulpit is made of sturdy timber, and the front is covered with a piece of undyed cloth, the same type used for the kneeler. The tapestry on the front of the pulpit was donated to the church on its 25th anniversary and depicts the symbols of the four evangelists.
The church's burial ground is a quarter circle around the Bronze Age mound. All the gravestones in the cemetery face the mound.
The church is only open when staff are present. Please contact the church office directly.
